The Secret of Dead Man's Cave

The cousins meet a young Italian man, Gasparo, who has an incomplete treasure map tattooed on his back. Looking through Kim's life chest, Josh and Bernie discover an old photo with a similar tattoo on a Nassau man. They travel to the Bahamas with Gasparo, hoping to put the pieces together and uncover a phenomenal pirate treasure, despite the dangers—and the sharks.

In the mid 1600s, the Italian pirate Claudio plundered ships in the Bahamas and stashed the treasure in a cave underneath a tiny uncharted island. Back in Italy, Claudio began a tattoo of the cave's location on his son's back but was killed before its completion. Claudio also had a son, Enzo, with his mistress in the Bahamas. Enzo was tattooed with the secret, but after his violent death, no one could accurately recreate the map. Both families tattooed their version of the map on a child from every generation onward, even though the treasure was lost.
